| Geostationary satellite |
For telecommunication, a geostationary satellite is used. These satellites then maintain a constant position relative to the earth. A geostationary satellite is kept in position by corrections controlled from earth. This is done every week to every second week.
The orbit is around 40.000 km from the earth.
