Term Definition
Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is a protocol used by networked devices (clients) to obtain/provide the parameters necessary for communication in an Internet Protocol network. A DHCP server manages information about client configuration parameters. Upon receipt of a request the server will assign the computer an IP address and other IP configuration parameters (these devices are DHCP Clients)
Direct Inward Dialing numbers.
Data Link Connection Identifier. Data link connection identifier (DLCI) is a channel number which is attached to frame relay data frames to tell the network how to route the data. In context of TBB service it is used as a destination receiver address - i.e., to tell the network who the data is destined for.
