| Bandwidth |

Angle between the half-power (-3 dB) points of the main lobe, when referenced to the peak effective radiated power of the main lobe.

Bit Error Ratio. Bit error ratio is the ratio of the number of bits incorrectly received to the total number of bits sent during a specified time interval.

| BGP peering |
Border Gateway Protocol peering. Peering is voluntary interconnection of administratively separate Internet networks for the purpose of exchanging traffic between the customers of each network. BGP peering is used for routing information exchange between BGP autonomous systems. BGP autonomous systems represent administratively separate Internet networks.

| BUC |
Block Up Converter. Combines up-converter (from L-band) and a power amplifier in one sealed unit. A BUC takes an L-band input signal, converts it to a satellite RF band (Ku, C...) and transmits it to the satellite.
