Oslo, Norway, 19 October 2009 – Next Generation Network Solutions (NGNS), a provider of wireless voice and data solutions to the oil & gas community based in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and Vizada Networks, the leading independent satellite communications provider, have signed an agreement to provide customized communications networks to the global oil & gas market.
The offering will combine NGNS’ wireless and mobile technology with Vizada Networks’ VSAT (very small aperture terminal) fixed satellite services, to increased safety on remote sites as well as enable monitoring day-to-day communications, contact with headquarters and emergency communications.
The offering is aimed at oil & gas exploration companies operating off-shore and onshore drilling platforms, namely in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, as well as the United States and Mexico.
