Vizada participates in Birkebeinerrittet 2008, a traditional mountain bike race in Norway

16th Birkebeinerrittet, mountain bike race, was held in Norway on the 30 August this year. The course was 91km with start at Rena, finishing in Lillehammer. 14,609 men and women set to this royal trail across the mountains this year and 14,332 of them actually completed it. All entrants must carry a backpack of at least 3,5 kg throughout the race. It symbolizes the prince who later became King Håkon and who was carried across the mountains to the neighbour valley in east during a civil war in Norway in 1205.

Arne Raffelsen, Per Rune Iversen, Raymond Poort, Carl Thomas Vatne and Trond Aarstadberg from Vizada Networks and Geir Sundin, Wilhelm Hansteen and Pål Morten Krågebakk from Marlink reached the goal line, accomplishing this traditional Norwegian mountain bike race. Congratulations!
