Successful Seminars and Conference in Dar es Salaam

Vizada Networks’ participation in two major events in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania last week proved a success, confirming our position as a leading supplier of reliable internet connection along the East Coast of Africa. 
 
The first event was the annual Connecting Rural Communities Africa (CRC Africa) forum organised by the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organisation, of which Vizada Networks is a silver sponsor. Hosted by the Ministry of Communications, Science and Technology in Tanzania and the Tanzanian Communications Regulatory Authority on 24-26 August 2011, the conference covered seven sessions including International Connectivity for Africa, Equipment and Technology and Operator’s Perspective.

First Vizada Networks Site in Russia

Vizada Networks has completed its first site in Russia, for Turkish customer, Balkan Telekom. The new site, which has been installed for a Balkan Telekom customer in Ekaterinburg, South West Russia, is based on the Viznet Dynamic service (previously known as Vizada Networks Internet Start).

Providing Connectivity for the Africa Eco Race

With a field of hardcore off-road bikes, cars and trucks thundering from Morocco to Dakar in one of motorsports toughest challenges, the Africa Eco Race organiser is well aware of its social responsibility. So in addition to providing an Africa-based alternative to the infamous Dakar race (which is now run in South America), the Africa Eco Race gives something back to the countries that form the playground for its daring riders and drivers.

Communications for the Dakar 2011 Edition

The fearless racers charged out of Buenos Aires on their beefed-up bikes, quads, cars and trucks on New Years Day, but preparation for the Dakar 2011 Edition started well before the engines fired up.

The Vizada Networks specialist events division TDCOM was on the scene in Argentina’s capital during the week long scrutineering process, with four of the twenty-strong dedicated Dakar team in place to manage the extensive VSAT communications and tracking system they had developed and installed during the build-up to this year’s edition of the world’s most extreme rally.
