Vizada Networks has completed its first site in Russia, for Turkish customer, Balkan Telekom. The new site, which has been installed for a Balkan Telekom customer in Ekaterinburg, South West Russia, is based on the Viznet Dynamic service (previously known as Vizada Networks Internet Start).
Viznet Dynamic is a standardised, low cost of entry and highly reliable IP broadband service with guaranteed CIR and high burst rates. Its foundation is the latest iDirect Evolution DVB-S2/ACM platform and the service offers a simple way to connect to the Internet for users that don’t have excessive bandwidth requirements.
The specific service chosen by Balkan Telekom for its Russian customer includes global Internet access terminated at Nittedal teleport in Norway, with service and maintenance through Vizada Networks NOC. The capacity is provided on Eutelsat’s W7, Ku-band using a 1.2m antenna that had already been in service with the end-user.
Balkan Telekom required a reliable, cost-effective link for its customer, for applications including corporate connectivity, internet access and terminal-server application. “Our customer appreciates the quality of the Vizada Networks satellite service as the low-latency helps them to achieve high performance on server based applications,” According to Balkan Telekom.
As the first Vizada Networks site in Russia, it helps to expand our active service links coverage. We are currently serving customers in 115+ countries worldwide and moving into new regions, such as Russia is a natural extension of our services supplied in major markets like Africa and the Middle East.
Balkan Telekom is a key solution provider for the telecommunications and satellite industries. The company offers satellite communication solutions and customized services including installation, remote site maintenance, network management, training and consultancy. Its customer base is focused on construction and oil & gas companies in Turkey, Turkic countries and the Middle East.
